GCSU

The GCSU (Gonville & Caius Students' Union) is a student organisation based at Gonville and Caius College, University of Cambridge. For the undergradutes, it is known as the JCR (Junior Combination Room). The GCSU is responsible for representing Caius undergraduate students' needs to the College and CUSU (Cambridge University Students' Union), providing welfare information and advice, organising social events, overseeing the finances of College societies and much more.

The policy of the GCSU is carried out by the GCSU Executive , which consists of the President, Vice President and several officers, each of whom has a specific area of responsibility within the GCSU. The Executive can help with virtually any problem that you might have and will be very happy to do so.

Several Open Meetings are held each term and it is important that you express your opinion by voting on motions ranging from rent charges to hall food. Every student in the college is welcome to propose motions and contribute to the often lively debates that ensue. The GCSU and the Executive is governed according to the GCSU constitution.
