Questions to the Exec:
Progress of last week’s action points:
1. Rebecca: put a recycling bin in the computer room.
Shaneil: there is a scrap paper pile, which is equivalent to recycling.
2. Food and Bar: examine the pool table in the Underbar and get it fixed if required. Also,
update bar code of conduct and decide on how to continue drinking outside without
breaking glasses. Update Ed Davey on progress.
RETAIN ACTION
Items:
1. Prem
• Caius Library west staircase
Should we consider looking into whether the West Staircase should be opened?
Maya: good during exam term when students are using the library until late
Prem: College have raised counter arguments of a security issue, no CCTV on stairs in case someone falls and that people may no longer use the desk. Regardless I will try and argue for its opening.
2. Martin
• Old bandwidth emails
Anyone still getting them?
All: no.
• Elections
Presidential will occur in Week 4 and executive in Week 5.
3. Pragesh
• Gym
There has been demand for a bar and a new bench in the gym. There is currently a separate weights room, if we get rid of the old bench, then we can have room for a bench with a bar. With a bar there is a wider range of movements possible.
