Hey everyone, Thanks to all of those who voted (a great turnout this year with 320 votes!). For those of you who weren’t in the bar/haven’t heard anyway, let us congratulate Jenny Buckley on winning the election for GCSU President 2010-2011 (exact numbers attached)! I will be meeting her later this week to start the handover process (which will strictly last until the end of term. You can contact Jenny at jab236@cam.ac.uk for now (jcrpresident@cai.cam.ac.uk still directs emails to me for the next week or two). Moving onwards, the rest of the exec are still to be elected. A quick reminder about key dates: Manifesto deadline: Midnight after Friday 19th (Hardcopies to Fi Parkinsons pigeon hole, electronic (preferably PDF) to jcrsecretary@cai.cam.ac.uk) There will be an OPEN MEETING before hustings on Sunday. Please send motions, items, announcements etc. to Fi, jcrsecretary@cai.cam.ac.uk – Remember (particularly those running the RON campaign) that this is the ideal opportunity to hold the GCSU to account, and pass policy that mandates the GCSU to do things (if quorate). If you want to question any decisions that the GCSU makes, this is the ideal opportunity! Finally, this will probably be the last email from me. Writing that has genuinely brought a little tear to my eye! It’s been a brilliant year, and I thank you all for supporting me, asking me questions, making my time hell, and at the same time making it the most magical and memorable year of my life so far. I’ll also take this opportunity to wish all the finalists the very best of look in the future, and I look forward to seeing and hearing about all of your successes and achievements! Much, much love!
